My Little "Insect Explorer"

Another great parks and rec class? INSECT EXPLORERS!!!
*And, I must say as a former biology teacher and science camp instructor, this was my favorite class so far! :-)

Quinn LOVED his name tag (that's a centipede!) . . .

Story time:

A hike around the lake to look for some critters:

Holden was NOT happy about being confined to the stroller! But, there was no way that I was going to let him wander through the woods with us. He would have been running in every direction and putting all sorts of things/creatures in his mouth!

Holding a toad (of course, toads are not insects, but we were extremely happy to catch any wildlife at all!) . . .

Craft time:

Happy Friday everyone!

At the Car Wash, Yeah!

On Sunday evening, the boys "helped" Daddy wash the cars. It turned out to be quite a wet and wild adventure . . .

The experience was not only fun, but productive . . . the cars are looking good! 'Bout time these fellas start earning their keep! Ha! :-)

Dinosaur Trail

We took the boys to the science museum on Saturday. It was our first visit; what an amazing place! We spent 3+ hours there, and the boys LOVED it! We will certainly be returning!!!

Saturday was the grand re-opening of their Dinosaur Trail. Both my boys (and my hubby, too!) LOVE playing with dinosaurs and growling/roaring like crazy! They were in wonder of the LIFE-SIZED replicas . . .

We had a "dino-mite" time! *I just couldn't resist!
**More pics from the museum tomorrow!

One for You & Two for Us!

What a beautiful morning! I took the boys to the choo-choo park for a little fun!

Our first stop? The lake to "feed the ducks". The food I brought for the ducks? Well, I left a bag of old stale bread sitting on my counter at home! Luckily, I had a sleeve of Ritz crackers in my bag! So, I gave them to the boys to "feed the ducks". Well, they decided to "feed themselves". It was as if they were taunting those poor ducks . . . one for you & two for us . . . really one for you & the rest of them for us! The ducks finally gave up and swam away to another family! I don't blame them! Ha!

The poor ducks finally got a couple of crackers (that I threw to them!). *Note to self: Remember the old stale bread next time!

After feeding ourselves (and the ducks, a little!), we rode the carousel, had lunch, rode the boats, and played at the playground. **The choo-choo was broken! Yes, broken! But, we spent a little time looking at it; Quinn even reached through the fence to touch it and help its boo-boos!

*I LOVE the fact that Quinn still LOVES the baby swings. I can get both boys in the swings, and they are happy to swing forever! They're contained, content, and in close proximity! It's perfect . . . hope that it lasts a while longer!

Our final stop . . . Snow Cones! I've created monsters; they expect snow cones at the end of every visit to the choo-choo park! I'm really not complaining . . . I've come to expect them, too! Yummy!

*Quinn was feeling adventurous today. He picked "purple" instead of his usual "blue"!

"Purple" (or grape) was a hit! Hope that everyone has a great weekend!
