This big guy had "P" day at preschool last week:

He wore his pajamas and had a pizza lunch (with punch and popcorn)! It was a BIG day in the 4's class! :-)

Hill Ridge

There was nothing on our family calendar last Saturday; what an awesome feeling! So after a big breakfast and a lazy morning in our pajamas, we decided to make the trip to Hill Ridge Farms in Youngsville. We hadn't been in a few years, and it was fun to see the new additions and to enjoy all of our old favorites. We stayed for over 4 hours and had such a great time!

***The "pillow jump" was a new activity. That and the pig races were the boys' favorite parts of the day!

3 Pictures

That kid in the "Treasure Hunter" T-shirt (complete with skull, crossbones and a gold tooth) on picture day? Yep, he's mine! It's not because he's the 3rd child; I forgot Holden's picture day in preschool, too. I think we'll pass on the fall pictures and buy the spring ones instead! Ha!

Q and his buddy Tyler C. at lunch:

Sometimes you just need a day at home in your pajamas . . . and your football helmet . . . and your skeleton Halloween gloves! ;-)

BIG field trip day

I spent my Tuesday morning on a 3rd grade field trip at Historic Oak View Park. We learned about "change over time" on a southern farm. The kids were interested to learn about churning butter, hand washing clothes, picking cotton and so much more. It was a fun, little trip.

Siblings weren't allowed on the trip, so I had to find care for Fletch. Thankfully, a group of MOPS moms were going to a local pumpkin patch. One mom was kind enough to let him tag along. He had a great time!

Recent Happenings

Holden FINALLY lost that wiggly front tooth!

Chuck E. Cheese birthday party for our buddy, Wiley:

Quote from Holden's teacher on the class' webpage:
While reading a story this week about birthday presents, cake and a party, this is what our Holden said during reading group, ” love is the best of all.” He was referring to love being better than any birthday present or cake or party. I love this class! :)

Last Saturday was a perfect fall day to wrap up our soccer season! Way to go Kickin' Crocs and Eagles!

***We were happy to have Papa/Mama Quinn and Papa Tom join us in our cheering section! :-)

Pumpkin Patch

Last Friday morning was Fletcher's preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. The fall fun included story time, feeding the animals (goats), a corn maze, hay ride and picking just the right pumpkin. It was a sweet, special time with my littlest guy!

Fair Fun

One of our family's favorite fall outings? The State Fair! We went today and enjoyed the rides, exhibits and yummy food. So fun!

Papa Tom is visiting from Michigan, and we were so happy he tagged along for all the fun! :-)

Lists

Quinn had an after school club today. Fletch, Holden and I occupied ourselves with a quick trip to Target. While we were shopping, Holden decided to start on his Christmas and birthday lists. He wanted his picture taken with some of his "wish list" items.

I'm so glad he had that idea. Now, I know what to go back and buy for him! Smart boy of mine! ;-)

Fletcher's "Student of the Week" poster for preschool:

This mommy sure hopes he changes his mind about growing up to be a "football man"!

Well, we thirty-somethings somehow survived 2 late night concerts in 1 week! ;-)

Darius Rucker on Sunday and Zac Brown Band on Thursday. Two awesome nights with great friends!
