Quinn LOVES Kindergarten. He is beyond excited about big boy school. If you ask him what he likes best about school, he will answer "everything"! I certainly appreciate his enthusiasm. However, it makes it hard for him to contain himself and be quiet. Poor thing, he just has so much to say!
Last Friday was especially hard for him. His "race car" ended up in the "pit stop". He did not get a sticker in his folder, and he did not receive a prize from the prize box. There were consequences at home, and we spent most of the weekend talking about being quiet, raising your hand, and having listening ears at school.
We started Monday (yesterday) with a new morning prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank you for this wonderful day. Please help Quinn to have a great day at school. And, please help him to be quiet . . . especially when Ms. Wagoner is talking.
Amen
When I picked him up from school yesterday, he had a big smile on his face. His first words? "Mommy, I got a sticker today. God helped me to be quiet. I think that we should say that prayer every morning!" I think that we should, too. It seemed to work both yesterday and today. Thank you God!
