This week is a BIG one for the boys . . . New Life Camp week!
This is Q's 4th summer at NLC & his 1st summer for overnight camp. He was SO excited! Me? Not so much! I miss him already, but I know that he will have such an awesome week. Prayers for safety and happiness . . . and for Friday night to come quickly!
With his school buddies, Davis & Tyler:
This is Holden's 2nd summer at NLC (day camp). I'm so glad he's going the same week as Quinn. I've told him to keep his eyes open and report any Q sightings to me. Ha!
We took a "Thailand Trek" during this year's VBS, which included Thai games, foods and culture. It was such a fun-filled week with church friends!
The kids watched short video clips from a missionary in Thailand (Chris Barbee) each night. On the final night, the kids skyped with him! They asked him questions and sang a song for him. It was such a super cool experience . . . one that I'm sure they won't soon forget!
We wrapped up the week with a VBS celebration during our church service and had lunch afterwards. VBS is always one of our favorite summer activities, and this year is no exception! :)
Last Saturday was the closing celebration for our spring soccer season. It was an afternoon full of waterslides, hot dogs, friends and awards. Fun, fun, fun!
A few members from Team Patience:
***Never fails . . . ask for a volunteer to speak in front of a group? Yep, Holden's going to go for it! Ha! Here he is saying that he learned "passing" this season.
Q & Team Firebirds:
And, finally, Fletcher . . . happy as always to tag along! ;)
Just have to brag on these 2 guys (picture taken at our "lunch date" last week) . . .
They spent the mornings last week at a soccer camp at their school. The coach was tough, and the drills and scrimmages were even tougher. These 2 guys hung in there, had fun and learned a lot. Yesterday during pick up, the coach said that they worked hard and did a great job . . . and that they were very well behaved! I'll call that a success! :)
Q staying up late with Brant to watch Lebron & the Cavs:
*Doesn't everyone watch basketball with a stuffed snake around their necks? Ha!
**Q's pretty bummed they didn't win the series. :(
Marbles water fun with Fletch while the big boys are at soccer camp this week:
I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3 terrific boys (Quinn, Holden and Fletcher). They, along with Brant (my wonderful hubby), are "my boys". The purpose of my blog is to journal and share this adventure of life with all of our family and friends. "This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
