A Silly Picture

Just found this picture of Fletcher and Daddy at a Marbles birthday party a couple of weeks ago:

Aren't they cute? :)

GUMC Fall Festival

We had our church's fall festival, also known as "The Big Fall Fun Thing at the Farm", on Sunday night. It was tons of fun as always! The boys loved the bouncy house, hayride, pumpkin decorating contest, hotdog dinner, trunk-or-treat and more! :)

70's disco man, cowgirl, Russell Wilson, storm trooper & Commander Cody (yes, quite the eclectic group - ha!):

Pajama Day

Last Friday was a BIG day for Fletch . . . pajama day at preschool! The kids could bring a sleeping bag, stuffed animal and board game to share. They also had a pizza party and watched a movie at lunch. What a fun day! :)

Fry Bread

Holden's teacher loves to have little surprises for her kids throughout the year. Yesterday's surprise was Native American fry bread. Another mom and I fried the dough and topped it with honey and powdered sugar. It tasted like funnel cake . . . certainly a sweet treat! :)

Showing his favorite part, the powdered sugar:

Yum, yum!

Fall Break - Part 3

Brant had to go back to work yesterday, but the boys and I had one more day to play. We went to the NC State Fair. We rode a few rides, ate treats, saw friends, and looked at the cool exhibits. It was a fun way to spend a few hours with my guys!

Fall Break - Part 2

Before heading home on Sunday, we spent the morning at Colonial Williamsburg. We didn't take any tours, we just walked around and explored. The boys thought it was pretty cool to see all the "old fashioned stuff"! ;)

Fall Break - Part 1

The boys' school had Fall Break over the weekend, and we headed out of town. We left bright and early Friday morning for Williamsburg, VA and went straight to Busch Gardens. We rode rides, watched shows and ate treats for 2 days. It was so fun! :)

*It was sweet to see Q take care of Fletch; he helped Fletch get on the rides, partnered with him often and was a great big brother.

**It was fun to see that Holden was our thrill junkie. He rode every ride that he could (based on height) and loved the big roller coasters, riding them more than once. Q was much more cautious and chose not to ride the Loch Ness Monster or Vermooten.

Chickee

Holden's class was assigned an extra credit project of making a "chickee", a Native American shelter. They were specifically asked to make it themselves and that it should look like a second grader's work. Parents were only allowed to work the hot glue gun.

Presenting Holden and his awesome chickee:

***The post-it note man was ALL his idea! ;)
