Family Fun Day

Brant had his annual Family Fun Day for his company and clients last Saturday at Pullen Park. It was a beautiful day and so much fun.









Our family is extremely grateful for all the folks who work with Brant and for all who trust him to manage their money. Many, many thanks from all my boys and me!

We met friends at the park last Friday. The moms were talking, and we turned around and saw this:

We're painting the town purple today and getting excited about our town's Relay for Life event tomorrow. :-)

One Last Party

We had one last birthday celebration for Q on Saturday. Mama/Papa Quinn and Mama Carol came over for lunch and ice cream sundaes.

Preschool Easter Fun

This morning was Fletcher's Easter party and egg hunt at school.





It was a sweet time with my big guy! :-)

Quinn's 8th Birthday

Our first baby turned 8 today!

This morning before school, we surprised him with Scotty's autographed CD. He was surprised and thought that it was totally cool!


Brant and I had lunch with him at school and brought donuts for his buddies.


We asked his friends for "serious" faces (meaning not silly faces), and his buddy Aiden literally made a VERY serious face. Ha!


Q's requested dinner? A stuffed crust pizza! We celebrated with a cookie cake for dessert.


Tonight, his guitar teacher came to our house (which was awesome b/c the other boys played and watched TV upstairs) and brought a couple of guitars for him to choose from. After he made his choice, he had his first half hour lesson and loved it! Yay!


***At dinner, we went around and shared 3 things that we love about Q. My 3?
#1 - He's social and friendly . . . always happy to see friends and talk (& talk & talk) to ANYONE! Ha!
#2 - He loves Jesus.
#3 - He's very honest . . . even when it's something that might get him in a little trouble, he still tells us the truth.

Happy, Happy Birthday to our Mr. Q. We love you bunches and bunches, and we always will!

Zoo Project

This spring semester has been full of school work and big projects for Q. After his Jewish food presentation, he moved on to the zoo project. I was not at all surprised when he brought home the name of his chosen animal . . . the Black-tailed Rattlesnake! Of course! ;-)

The zoo project, which was due today, included a poster and report (complete with title page and bibliography).

*He'll be bringing home the instructions for the next project tomorrow - a country study with a report and flag. Whew! Is it time for summer vacation yet?!?

Easter Celebration

We had an awesome church-wide Easter celebration tonight!

The boys had a blast playing games, making crafts, hunting eggs, and eating treats with their buddies. There was even a little post-dinner show with singing, dancing and puppets. So fun!

Party Time

Q's birthday is coming up next week. We celebrated with his buddies today after school with a soccer party at XL Soccer World.

The boys ran and played for over an hour and a half. They only stopped and sat down for a couple of short breaks for snacks and water.

What a fun, sweaty, wild and wonderful group of boys!

Super Saturday

As you can see, Holden and Fletcher had lots of fun at WCA's "Super Saturday" last weekend.











You probably noticed that Q is missing from the pictures. He's having a bit of spring fever and has gotten a few tallies for talking. Instead of having fun at school with his buddies, he spent the morning writing sentences and picking up gumballs in the yard. It was no fun for him or me; I was stuck at home playing warden. This parenting stuff is not for wimps! :-(
