We scheduled 2 weeks of day camps for Quinn this summer. He did the Y camp in June. Last week, he went to New Life Camp with 2 of his buddies from Kindergarten. He had a blast! He is such a fun, social guy!
New Life is close to Brant's work, so he took care of carpooling Q each day. The camp ran from 8 - 5. So, my baby was gone all day for 5 days! It was a little too much for me. But, Quinn was COMPLETELY fine with it! Ha!
Quinn, with his buddies Tyler and Davis, at Friday night's end-of-camp celebration:
*On Day 3 of camp, Q brought home the dreaded "someone at camp has lice" letter!!! On the way home, Brant called to prepare me. I made sure to check Q's hair BEFORE I let him in the house. Thankfully, he was clear (and stayed that way)! Whew!

Crazy Costumes
Last night while I was giving Holden a bath, Quinn and Fletcher were playing in the bonus room. When I walked in to check on them, this is what I found:
Proof that Fletcher ABSOLUTELY adores Quinn? He stayed still long enough for Quinn to do all of this to him! Ha! ;-)

Anniversary Trip
Brant and I spent the weekend in Asheville. It was WONDERFUL to have a little getaway to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary. *BIG thanks to Mama/Papa Quinn for watching Quinn and Mama Carol for watching Holden and Fletcher!
We spent most of Friday at Biltmore, touring the house, gardens and winery.
Friday night and the rest of the weekend were spent in the heart of downtown Asheville. We stayed at the Haywood Park Hotel; we parked the car on Friday and didn't see it again until this morning. We just walked/explored, ate, shopped and walked/explored, ate, and shopped some more.
*For us, highlights of downtown Asheville were dinner at Tupelo Honey (the pecan pie and the shrimp and grits were AMAZING), brunch at Early Girl Eatery (wonderful tomato/prosciutto/cheese quiche) and FANTASTIC people watching and culture at the drum circle at the park (the folks of Asheville are quite "eclectic"!).

Weekend Pics of the Boys
While I was in the mountains, Brant was home with the boys. According to them, they had a great time. They stayed VERY BUSY with our church's VBS (Amazing Desert Journey), spending most of their time at church with friends. Brant was such a trooper. He volunteered at the games station for 2 shifts and with Saturday night's dinner. What a great daddy!
Here are a few weekend pics from Brant's phone:

Girls Getaway
I was lucky enough to spend the past 3 days with my 5 best friends from college (Charity, Maridith, Donna, Melinda & Charlotte). We traveled from VA, FL and NC to Charity's completely adorable mountain place in Seven Devil Hills. It was wonderful seeing them! I LOVE these girls and value their friendships and our time together. We're already planning next year's trip! ;-)
*Charity brought her super cute 4 month-old Roman. He did a great job of tagging along with the girls!
This was my "Welcome Home" banner from my boys! So sweet!

2 Weekend Pics
Mr. Fletcher sporting his super cool Hawaiian shirt:
A mom of one of Q's kindergarten buddies, Davis, invited all of us over to their neighborhood pool for swimming and dinner. The boys were BEYOND thrilled to see Davis and Sydney (his little sister); they swam and played for over 3 hours. We took this picture at the end of the night. It makes me laugh! Sydney insisted on standing beside Quinn. Holden insisted on standing beside Sydney . . . and then he grabbed her hand at the last minute. It was very cute!

Scenes from our fun morning at one of our favorite places, the NC Museum of Natural Sciences:
*This museum is truly awesome! It's free AND just a couple of blocks from Krispy Kreme! WE LOVE IT!!! ;-)

Cool Moves
The boys have VBS next week, and we've been listening to our "Amazing Desert Journey" CD. The music inspired me to teach the big boys to "walk like an Egyptian". They thought that it was pretty cool!
They were having so much fun that I decided to move on to the ever-popular chicken dance. It'll come in handy at future middle school dances and wedding receptions; I'm sure of it!
After our dancing lessons, Q just got silly:
AND, we had popsicles! A good time was had by all!
