Gingerbread Man
As a homework project for Quinn, our family was supposed to work together to decorate a paper Gingerbread Man. Every member of the family had to contribute in some way. Even Fletcher "colored" the hair with a red marker! What a great idea, right?

A Walking Machine
It's safe to say that Mr. Fletcher is a full-fledged walker. He doesn't care too much about toys these days. He's happy to toddle and wobble around exploring the house. It still a surprise to see him WALKING into the room. He's too cute!

*We're getting our Christmas tree this weekend. With a brand new walker in the house, things should be VERY interesting!

Thanksgiving Day
What a great Thanksgiving! We started the day watching the parade (did everyone catch Scotty?) and having lunch with Mama Carol . . .

and Papa/Mama Quinn . . .

After naps and some leftovers, we ended the day with a new Thanksgiving family tradition . . . 'smores by the fire. Yum!

Thanksgiving Feast
Today was Quinn's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast. After a HUGE meal, the kids put on a little show and sang songs. Aren't they adorable?

As a keepsake, Quinn's teachers interviewed each child and put together a book entitled "How To Cook A Turkey". Today, they read each entry to the group. Quinn's thoughts on an ideal Thanksgiving meal?
"I'll go to a farm for my turkey. I'll shoot it with a bow and arrow just like an Indian. I need a medium turkey; I have to feed five people. I'll take it home in a cowboy's truck! I'll pick the feathers out with my fingers; we don't eat feathers. I'm going to grill that yummy turkey for 100 minutes. Then, I'll make smores for dessert on a fire pit! My family will say 'Quinn, this is delicious'. My Dad will eat the most, because he's 'huge-er' than us!"

Holiday Family Photos
We had our annual holiday family photos taken last Saturday morning. Kristy Foushee was our photographer again this year; she does such a great job! We were done in less than an hour, and I received a CD full of photos. Here are some of my favorites (without the 2 that I chose for our family's Christmas cards!):

Random Musings
The boys LOVE Brant's new iPad. They especially love recording videos of themselves and then watching them . . . OVER and OVER and OVER AGAIN! ;-)

Q's class is learning the letter "Q" this week. He is BEYOND excited about it! His class made a quilt today to celebrate the letter. All students were asked to bring in a square of fabric that best represents themselves. Q informed me that he would like some fabric with a "scary animal". The scariest animal that I could find? Spiders!

As we approach Thanksgiving, what are the big boys thankful for?

Spider Hunting
What are we doing now that it's getting dark so early in the evening? We're bundling up, grabbing flashlights, and hunting for spiders. Well, Q and H are grabbing flashlights and hunting for spiders. Fletcher and I are just bundling up! Ha!

*Yes, Holden is still wearing that Superman tanktop. Doesn't it look nice with the bike helmet and coat? ;-)

My 33rd Birthday
I started my 33rd year with a great birthday yesterday. I spent the morning at church with my Bible Study group, the afternoon shopping ALONE and then having cupcakes at home with my boys, and the evening going out to dinner with Brant. It was a wonderful day! :-)
The boys picked out my cards. Q chose a sheriff dog . . .

H chose martinis (ha!) . . .

And, F colored all over the card that Brant bought (can you tell that he LOVED the cupcakes?) . . .

The boys INSISTED that I model my gifts. And, Brant INSISTED that a picture be taken. So, here it is . . .

*Q picked out the penguin slipper socks. H is responsible for the hot pink monkey PJ pants (oh my!). And, F and Brant gave me a gift card to get some new sunglasses (in a bag with a $1 pair of sunglasses). Quite a look, right? I love my boys! I'm one lucky lady!
