You Sunk My Battleship!

One of the boys favorite activities during the 2 snow days? Board games! Q LOVED playing checkers with Brant; he even beat his Daddy a couple of times!

We all loved playing Battleship in teams, especially Holden. He insisted on dressing up in costume for each and every game time. Ha!

*The big guys are back at school today, with a 2 hour delay. Fletch and I met some friends for lunch and playtime. We were all happy to get out of the house and socialize! It was definitely time! :-)

Snow Day #2

We headed outside early this morning to have a little more snow fun before Brant went to work. The street was icy and better for sledding today, but the temps were in single digits. Brrrr!!!

We've had a lot of fun with this beautiful snow, but we're all ready for everything to melt and get back to normal! Maybe we'll have a little school tomorrow?!? ;-)

A REAL Snow Day

What a difference a week makes!!!

We had a real snow day this week; we got 4+ inches! It was super fun! We ate yummy treats (snowman pancakes and snow cream), sledded up and down our street, and played both outside and inside (board games - the boys LOVED Battleship).















The snow didn't pack well, but we were determined to make a snow man. We made a mound of snow, plopped a NCSU wolf hat on top, and added stick arms. Q named him "TJ Warren" (in honor of his favorite basketball player). ;-)

Sunday Fun

Yesterday, Brant and Holden went to the NC State game and saw the Wolfpack beat Georgia Tech in overtime!


I took Q and Fletch to church for some family fun time; they had "snowball" fights, ate marshmallow snowman treats and made TP "snowmen".

Snow Day???

We were hoping and expecting to wake up to 1-2 inches of snow and the day off from school. Instead, we got a dusting of the white stuff and a 2 hour delay. All 5 of us were a little disappointed, but we were determined to make the most of it.

Mighty Bruins

Quinn is in the middle of his basketball season as a Bruin; Brant is his assistant coach. He's playing in the 2nd/3rd grade division of Upward. Games and opponents are a little tougher this year, and the refs are stricter with the rules.

We're really proud of Q. He's been giving 100% during practice and games, and he's spending a lot of his free time at home practicing in the drive way. It's really fun to watch! Way to go Q!

Proof that dreams really do come true? It's FINALLY pajama day in Kindergarten! Holden's been waiting for this day all year!
