What Have We Been Up To?

Losing teeth (I pulled this one!) and drawing pictures about it:

Playing at the water table (by far the best $12 I have ever spent!):

And, eating popsicles (Holden likes to enjoy his treat while shirtless and wearing PJ bottoms!):
These popsicles have little jokes on the sticks. A few of our favorites?
*Why does the mouse never tattle tale? He doesn't want to be a rat!
*How does a bird learn the temperature? The feather channel!
*Why are the cops suspicious about the blinds? They're a little shady!

Memorial Day

We spent the morning in the brand new Nature Research Center (at the science museum). It was a little advanced for our little ones, but it was still a fun family outing. The theater room (and running into Palmer and his family) was their favorite part!

A Morning At Home

My van is being serviced, so we were all stuck at home today. To have a good morning and to keep my sanity, I knew that I would need the boys to be busy and engaged. I had a few projects in mind for us. Miraculously, they all worked! The 6 hours till nap time went by nicely . . . thank goodness! ;-)

So, what did we do with our time?

The big boys wrote a fan letter (and drew pictures) for Scotty McCreery. I'll let you know if they get a response! ;-)

Q practiced his math (counting by 2's) using sidewalk chalk; we've been challenged to do 10 minutes of both reading and math each day this summer.

We caught bugs!

And, Fletcher . . . he's pretty easy. He just tagged along and looked adorable! ;-)

Water Table

I bought a water table at our church's consignment sale over the weekend. Needless to say, all of the boys LOVED it . . .

especially Fletcher! ;-)
*Now, I just need to figure out how to keep the water IN the water table!!! Ha!

Q's Kindergarten Graduation

This morning was an emotional one; our Mr. Q graduated from Kindergarten. It was a super sweet ceremony complete with songs, Bible verses and the awesome theme of "The Time of Our Lives"! ;-)

I was teary eyed the whole time. But, the parts that really got me? The baby pictures during the diplomas, the announcement that they are the Class of 2024, and the reminder that we are 1/3 of the way through their years at home! Yikes!

We were thrilled that Mama/Papa Quinn and Mama Carol came for the big morning. And, many thanks to Holden's teacher, Mrs. Thorpe, for watching him before preschool and Laurie/Mama Carol for watching Fletcher during the ceremony and party afterwards. It takes a village, my friends! ;-)

More Weekend Pics

Gift Holden made in preschool:

Pictures from Pullen Park (we were there for a client appreciation family day for Brant's company):

And on Sunday, I traveled to Chapel Hill for my cousin Lorry's graduation from UNC-CH's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. As much as it pains my Wolfpack pride, I will admit that Carolina has a beautiful campus and that we had a great time there! ;-) Congratulations Lorry! We love you!

Happy Mother's Day

Growing up, I dreamed of and prayed for a future home with lots of kids. I wanted that home to be full of fun, laughter, noise, chaos and craziness. And, I can honestly say that's exactly what I've got! ;-)

Here's proof that . . .
#1 Dreams come true,

#2 God answers prayers,

AND #3 He has a sense of humor!

After all, He chose to give this girly-girl only child . . . 3 BOYS! ;-)
Happy Mother's Day!

Kites and Art

Yesterday was a big day at school for Quinn. It all started with "Kites with Dad", complete with kite flying, pizza and popsicles.

Q's special gift for Brant:

Then last night, we all went back to Q's school for the "Art Museum". Each student had a piece of art displayed. Quinn was very proud of his underwater picture, but he was a little disappointed that it was hung UPSIDE DOWN!!! Thankfully, he was a good sport about it and had a great time seeing his buddies and teachers.
