Thanksgiving 2015

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! We started our day with Krispy Kreme, had lunch with Mama Carol and Papa/Mama Quinn, and spent the rest of the day relaxing, playing outside and eating leftovers. It was truly a day to be thankful for! :)

Canes Game

On Wednesday night, Brant and the boys were invited to join Dave and Connor at a Hurricanes game. Dave's company gave him the tickets; just look at those seats! The price on each ticket was $350! Let's hope that the boys thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the action. These seats were a once in a lifetime opportunity! ;)






A staff member gave the boys practice pucks to keep. Q, sitting on the aisle, was also given an official game puck. Yes, it was pretty cool!

1st Holiday Party

We always kick off the holiday season with the Banyan Christmas party at the Angus Barn. Just like all the previous years, it was a wonderful night with work friends!

MayFowler

Today was a BIG day in 2nd grade; it was "Mayfowler" day! ;)

The kids took turns inside the "Mayfowler". The voyage was rough (the box was shaken), and they were sprayed by the ocean waves (a water bottle). Afterwards, they read a story about the Mayflower and feasted on stale bread and water. Yum, yum! Ha!











Mrs. Fowler was kind enough to let Fletch hop in for the 2nd voyage! ;)

School Work & School Fun

School work:
Each day after school, I go through the boys' papers. One of my favorite things to look for? Holden's sentences with his spelling words. These 2 sentences for "rules" and "way" are very true statements in our house! ;)





School fun:
Fletcher's sweet little Thanksgiving feast was yesterday morning. I'm really going to miss these fun little mornings!

Fletcher LOVED football, just as I imagined he would! Holden liked it and did his best, but I will be surprised if he chooses to play another season. I think that he'll be happy to get back to soccer in the spring.
