Our holiday weekend didn't quite go as planned . . . our neighborhood pool didn't pass inspection. We improvised, hung out at home and visited a local park instead. It was still a fun, family time! :)

After 8 weeks of remote learning, the Spesshardt School for Boys is closed! The final assignments have been submitted & the to-do lists are done. School’s out for summer!

These past 2 months have been FAR from perfect (& honestly a hot mess from time to time)... with lots of frustrations, mistakes & tears... but with even more laughter, victories & love.

When these guys are old & gray and their grandkids ask about the quarantine of 2020, my wish is they’ll remember that “mama tried” & we survived! ;)

***A BIG shout out to their school (WCA) and teachers who truly did an amazing job in such a difficult time. They showed dedication, love & grace to my guys on a daily basis. Our family is thankful for you!***

Teacher Parades

Over the past couple of weeks, we've paraded to honk, wave & say "hi" to 10+ of our boys' teachers. There were many blessings each day (seeing friends we haven't seen in almost 2 months, having something fun on our calendar, actually getting dressed and out of the house, etc.). But, by far, the biggest blessing? Seeing how happy the teachers were to see their students and how much they truly love them!

Our kids are loved, and teachers really are the best!

Mother's Day Weekend

My boys helped me celebrate all weekend. We spent Saturday afternoon at the NC Museum of Art, hiking their art walk. Sunday was spent at home with a special lunch and gifts. My cup runneth over! :)
