Tuesday was Colonial Day for Holden. The kids churned butter, made crafts, played games and more. Holden's favorite station? Toys! It was a fun morning in 3rd grade. :)
***I worked at the "quill writing" station, which was most of the kids' (including Holden) least favorite. Ha!
Brant's Uncle Jack and Aunt Sue were in town this weekend, visiting from Michigan. We had them and Mama Carol over for a cookout on Saturday. It was really fun to spend some time with family!
Q's bday is coming up in a couple of weeks. While at Target, he was looking around for things he may want. Fletcher decided he'd do the same thing . . . you know . . . for his birthday . . . in August! Hahaha!
Thought I'd post these to remember what he loved (that orange shirt he wears every other day) and liked when he was this sweet age of 6. ;)
Fletch's class had a compliment party today and were asked to wear their favorite hats. He chose the one from Hawaii's surf school . . . and he chose to wear it sideways. This guy is CRAZY! ;)
Surf lessons were originally scheduled for Wednesday but were cancelled at the last minute because of high surf and weather advisories. We ended up walking around the marketplace, having lunch and shopping.
We rescheduled the lessons for Thursday. It started great, until they actually went into the water. Fletcher was immediately scared. The waves were still a little high, and the water was cold. Despite having a private instructor who tried his best to encourage and give him time to adjust, he was just not ready. He ended up sitting on the beach with us and watching his brothers. Maybe next time!
Quinn and Holden's lessons both went awesome. They picked it up really quickly and rode quite a few waves.
Brant and a guest were able to experience an activity/excursion. This year, he chose the power rafting trip. What a great choice! It turned out to be a full day adventure! Q was his "guest", and I stayed at the hotel with the other boys.
I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3 terrific boys (Quinn, Holden and Fletcher). They, along with Brant (my wonderful hubby), are "my boys". The purpose of my blog is to journal and share this adventure of life with all of our family and friends. "This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
