Whew!

What a Saturday morning/afternoon! It was fun, but it was busy! Brant and Quinn took Holden to his 8:25am soccer game. They played in the pouring rain, but Holden did not seem to mind at all. ;-)







Mid-morning, I took Holden to Rowan's chef/cooking birthday party. They made pizza and sweet treats. It was very cute and fun!





Finally, Brant and Fletcher took Quinn to his 1pm soccer game. Q has improved SO MUCH from last fall; he seems to really enjoy soccer now. He is much more focused and aggressive when playing. He even got a goal! Go Q!

Mission Accomplished

For some time now, Fletcher has been trying to climb up on the furniture (couches and chairs). Well, he's finally tall and strong enough to do it. He's so excited with his new accomplishment that he likes to stand on the furniture and jump for joy. So far today, I have said "sit down" at least 20 times! Oh well! He's quite pleased with himself. It's another "mission accomplished" for Mr. Fletch!

H's Preschool Easter Celebration

Fletcher and I spent a little time at Holden's preschool this morning. The kids played, sang, and danced in their classroom. Then, we moved outside for an Easter egg hunt.







*Aren't those egg hunt pictures great? My friend, Kristy, took them. I really need her to follow us around town and take pictures. They're always so good! :-)

2. I LOVE MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)! I feel like I post this at least twice a year, but MOPS is such a great organization. If you are interested in meeting an authentic group of ladies to share this crazy adventure of motherhood with, find a group near you. It's wonderful! *This picture is from last night at my home during the dessert round of our progressive dinner.

5K and Fun Run

Quinn's school had a Mission Outreach Benefit 5K this morning. Brant and Quinn ran most of the 5K, and they finished with a time of 39 minutes and 9 seconds (39:09). They were VERY PROUD of themselves! Quinn LOVED every minute. He has always liked running and often runs laps around the house for fun! ;-) There was a family fun run of 1 mile after the 5K, and Quinn wanted to stay and run that too! Needless to say, both Brant and Quinn napped this afternoon!

*Holden's first soccer game was scheduled for this morning, but it was cancelled because of the rain/wet fields. He, Fletcher and I stayed home and relaxed instead!

Green Party and FIRST TOOTH!!!

In honor of St. Patrick's Day, Quinn's Kindergarten class had a "green tasting party" today. The kids tried samples of green foods ranging from green peppers to green jello. I was quite surprised and impressed by the foods that Quinn tried and liked, especially the celery and the quacamole. According to his paper, he did not like the broccoli (it was raw) or the limes. But, he liked everything else. His favorite? The lime chips and guacamole!

The boys and I made it for the last half of the party and then stayed for lunch. Can you tell how excited Holden was to be there and to sit with the big kids? Quinn's friend Nathan was inspired by Holden's big, cheesy smiles and had to make some too!


Can you tell how excited Fletcher was to be there and be stuck in his stroller? Ha!



After school, I got a big surprise when Mr. Q came bouncing out to the van and gave me a big smile. HE LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH!!!! Doesn't he look older? Someone PLEASE stop time . . . this is all going too fast for me!!!!

His sweet teacher, Ms. Wagoner, pulled it for him. Bless her heart! I am a little sad that it's gone, but I'm not sad that I missed pulling it out myself!

Friends

Last week, Wesley and Cailyn (kiddos of Maridith) came to play for an hour or so while their big sister went to the dentist. The big boys were way too busy for pictures, but I did get a few of Fletcher and Cailyn. As you can see, Fletcher was quite happy to have a new friend to play with (especially one that gave him food and toys - ha!).

Remember Q's picture from yesterday (the one of him in his tie looking "fancy")? Never one to be out done, Mr. Holden insisted on having his picture taken immediately after Quinn. Oh, this middle boy of mine! He is "quite the character"! ;-)

*Don't you love his hair? The heat was blowing out of the floor vent and that is exactly where he wanted to stand! Ha!

Cap and Gown Picture Day

Today was a big day for Mr. Q. He got all dressed up for cap and gown pictures at Kindergarten. It was his first time in a tie, and he LOVED it. He has always been one for dressing up and looking "fancy". Doesn't he look all grown up? Pass me the tissues . . . PLEASE!


There must have been a silly group picture taken with fake moustaches. Another mom emailed this picture to me; too funny!

The other day after art time, Quinn used a little slip of paper and "graded" Holden's work. Holden was quite pleased with his grade! ;-)

A Big Morning

Fletcher and I spent part of our morning at Quinn's school celebrating Dr. Seuss Day; Dr. Seuss' birthday is tomorrow. The party was complete with books, a movie and Thing 1 and 2 cupcakes. It was very cute!



Holden spent part of his morning at Wiley's house, having his first drop-off play date. He was BEYOND thrilled to play with Wiley and Rachel; he told me that it was AWESOME! Thanks Kristy for these great pictures from the morning!
