We had a little adventure today . . . a day trip to the NC Zoo. It was such a fun day! The boys' favorites? The otters, zebras, elephants and giraffes! :)
Last weekend was a BIG weekend for Quinn. Brant took him on a little "Daddy & Q" getaway. With Quinn going into middle school next month, Brant wanted to have a little "male bonding"/special time with him.
They started with Cabela's and lunch:
Then, they headed to Drake's Landing:
Later that afternoon, they went hiking at Umstead Park (using the Cary entrance):
They wrapped up Saturday with dinner and milkshakes at Gypsy's Shiny Diner:
Sunday started off with a big breakfast at the Embassy Suites:
They went hiking again (this time using the Glenwood entrance to Umstead):
As you can see, Q had an action-filled, awesome time with Dad! ;)
Quinn and his buddies had an amazing week at camp. They swam in the lake, went fishing, did archery, played lots of dodgeball and much much more. New Life Camp is ALWAYS one of the major summer highlights for this boy of mine. Makes my heart sing to see him so very happy! :)
When we picked Holden up at the Refuge yesterday morning, he was exhausted, hoarse and covered in an inch of eastern NC dirt! In other words . . . he had an absolute blast! :)
***As a mama, the best thing about the week? Kristy's brother and other camp employees texting pictures of the boys each day. It was so nice to see those "proof of life" photos! ;)
I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3 terrific boys (Quinn, Holden and Fletcher). They, along with Brant (my wonderful hubby), are "my boys". The purpose of my blog is to journal and share this adventure of life with all of our family and friends. "This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
