One on One Time

We've had a couple of weeks of 2 boys off at camp and 1 at home with me/us.  It was a sweet time!

Fletcher's week at home had a visit with Papa Quinn for a belated Father's Day lunch & a quick trip to the beach...

Holden's week at home had a trip to the beach and some sweet treats around town...

***One of won at putt putt... & one of us didn't.... hahaha!

New England - State Signs

6 states in 7 days!  

We managed pictures with all the state signs... except for CT.  Sorry, CT... we had to make do with a homemade sign by the "state line discount liquor" store instead.  Hahaha!

 

New England - Red Sox

We wrapped up our week long trip to NE back in Boston.  We turned in the rental minivan and headed to a Red Sox game.  

What an exciting game!  Highlights?  Multiple home runs, a crazy streaker tackled on the field (ha!) & the singing of Sweet Caroline.  What a great way to wrap up a wonderful trip!

New England - CT & RI

After NH, we drove to Mystic CT.  What a pretty town... and home to the famous Mystic Pizza! ;) 

We then drove to Newport, RI.  We explored Fort Adams and visited the USS Bennington Memorial.  Papa Tom served on the USS Bennington during his time in the Navy.  

New England - NH

From Maine, we traveled to New Hampshire.  We took the COG railway up to the top of Mt. Washington.  Mt. Washington is famous for being "the home of the world's worst weather" and being tied for the 2nd coldest place on Earth.  

Thankfully, it was June... and the weather was just cold and not "extreme" in any way!  ;)

New England - Bar Harbor, ME

Bar Harbor was a definite highlight of our NE trip!  What a beautiful area!  

We explored downtown Bar Harbor, took a couple of boat rides (lobster boat and puffin/lighthouse tour boat) and spent time in Acadia National Park.   The sunset from Cadillac Mtn in ANP was absolutely breathtaking!  

Our whale watching boat trip was canceled due to rough seas.  That was certainly a bummer, but we made the most of the last minute change in plans.
