Fletcher's preschool Easter party and egg hunt was on Wednesday. He had a blast with his school buddies!
***This was the final preschool egg hunt for a boy of mine. Fletcher also learned the "Adios Preschool" song at music that day. Sniff, sniff! Everyone's growing up!
2nd grade always does a "Growing Up Where Jesus Lived" project. Just like Q, Holden chose to make a food dish. He chose barley cakes.
We were given the recipe and went to work. He put together a report with the recipe (hand written) and pictures of him cooking. He brought the dish into school on Tuesday for everyone to try.
***Our barley cakes did NOT turn into actual cakes. For some reason, they didn't stick together very well. So, the kids ended up eating them with bowls and spoons. Oh well! We tried! ;)
Today is St. Patrick's Day, which means that it's "green day" for Holden. Each kid got a plate with tiny bite size pieces of green foods. His teacher insisted that they try everything. I love that!
Holden's favorites? Chips with guacamole and pickles!
His least favorites? Celery and green olives. Just look at that face! Ha!
The party was at 9, so Fletcher had to come with me. As you can see, he didn't mind one bit! ;)
Saturday night was a super fun night. We joined the Foushees and the Mikuleckys for the Garth Brooks concert! Good times and an awesome show, for sure!
We spent Saturday morning at the boys' school for the annual 5K Missions Run. Brant, Q and Holden ran the 5K; Fletch and I joined them afterwards for the family fun run (1 mile). It was a fun, sweaty morning!
***Q's been going to running club and was really hoping to medal this year. But, it was his second year of finishing 4th in his age division (ages 12 and under). Maybe next year!
I'm a stay-at-home mom of 3 terrific boys (Quinn, Holden and Fletcher). They, along with Brant (my wonderful hubby), are "my boys". The purpose of my blog is to journal and share this adventure of life with all of our family and friends. "This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24
