Takin' It Easy
The stomach bug has invaded our house . . . first Brant, then me, and last night Holden! Thankfully, everyone is symptom and fever free today. Hopefully, Quinn and Fletcher will be spared from this yucky stuff!
We are laying low and taking it easy at home today. We spent some time outside this morning. It was fun and cool; we stayed in the shade! ;-)
*Holden didn't want to lay down by his man!

Just Checking In
There hasn't been too much to blog about lately. We're just enjoying our summer vacation. We've been going to the pool, having play dates with friends, and having fun together as a family.
Here's a few pictures of Fletcher from this morning:
Isn't he getting big? He doesn't seem like our little baby anymore! He's such a big guy!

9 Years
Yesterday was our 9th wedding anniversary. In addition to a card and a watermelon from Brant (yes, watermelons are my love language!), the boys presented me with a card. It was a sweet morning!

*The anniversary celebrations will continue. We're going out tomorrow night for dinner, and we're taking a kid-free trip to Asheville in July.
**Yes, we wear our Christmas PJ's all year long! ;-)

Career Day
Today is career day at Y camp.
Introducing Dr. Quinn, Medicine Man:

Dr. Quinn and his assistant, Fletcher:

*He wanted to be a cowboy, but we didn't have any cowboy costume supplies at our house. I suggested a doctor, and Q was happy with that.
**I have had the "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys" song in my head ever since our conversation! ;-)

Day Camp
It was a big day for Mr. Q today; he had his first ever day camp experience. As I had hoped and prayed, he had a blast and everything went well. He couldn't name his favorite part because "everything was fun"! There were 3 other kids from his class/school and 1 family friend in his group. And, he received the "caring" ribbon during the final assembly for helping a hurt little girl and saying a prayer for her.

The little brothers insisted on having their picture taken too! ;-)

For my records (so that I can chuckle at myself years from now), I was a little crazy during the camp decision making process. I repeatedly asked everyone with any connection to the camp all about it, stopped by the office and asked about 50 questions, and met the camp director (and his parents!!!) at our towns' Relay event in April. And today (yes, I'll admit it!), I sat in the parking lot of the swimming pool for part of Q's swim time to observe the process and make sure that he was safe and happy. Whew! I am glad that the first day is over! ;-)

Beach Trip
We just got home from a week at the beach. Just like last year, we went to Ocean Isle and stayed in an oceanfront condo. The boys had an absolute blast!!! Quinn and Holden shared a room and slept in bunk beds. All 3 boys played on the beach every day, saw sharks at the aquarium, visited with Mama/Papa Quinn, ate lots of special "treats", and much more. It was a wonderful week!
Our very amateur attempt at a photo shoot (ha!):
