Soccer Tourney 1

Over the weekend, the boys played in their first soccer tournament. The coach has decided to dual card Q and have him split his time between the U12 & U11 teams. The U12 team is full of strong, older kids. The U11 team is young. Q really wants to play with the older kids, but he's definitely needed more with the U11 team.

So, for this tournament, Q was asked to play with that team . . . which happens to be Holden's team. I was super proud of him for his good attitude, being a team player and handling the move (and losses) with humility. I was also very proud of Holden. With Q joining the team and playing the same positions, Holden had much less playing time. He handled that as much grace as can be expected of an 8 year old.

This is our first season in a challenge league, and it's certainly proving to be a challenging, growing experience. I pray that this was the right decision for our family and for the boys to have an overall positive experience.

Fletcher's 6th Birthday

Yesterday was a super BIG day for Fletch . . . his 6th birthday!!! :)






He celebrated at school, where he was "top dog" for the day.








And, he had a special dinner fiesta with his BFF (while brothers and I were at soccer).



Fletcher's certainly our "cherry on top". What fun he's brought to our crazy, loud, boy-filled family! Love you Fletch!!!

Q and Holden are in a new soccer league this year. Lazers is a challenge league, with travel and tournaments. The fall season kicked off with games in Wilmington last Saturday.













The boys are excited about this new adventure! :)

6th Birthday Fun

Yesterday, we celebrated Fletcher's 6th birthday with friends. He was over the moon to be the center of attention for the afternoon! ;)

So Far, So Good

It's safe to say that this big guy is "adjusting well" to K5 . . .







In fact, he's happy as a clam!!! :)

First Day - K5

Today was Fletcher's first day of Kindergarten. The baby of the family is now at "big boy school" with his brothers. After all these years of tagging along, he was BEYOND excited for his turn! :)













That first day of Kindergarten for your baby? It's a heartbreaker, for sure! The only tears of the morning were mine . . . which is, I guess, the way it should be!

Today was a BIG day for Q and Holden . . . the first day of 3rd and 5th grades! :)
